Software Designer
Cannibal Game Studios is looking for a serious, ambitious, visionary and synergetic Software Designer fitting the following profile: You have a pleasant personality with leadership qualities. You are enthousiastic teamplayer and a sportsman in sharing ownership, recognizing and believing in the strength and added value of others. You have a very positive can-do attitude and never shy away from a new challenge.
Functionally, as an application architect you apply yourself to keep your solutions to seemingly complex problems simple. Your designs lead to effective and efficient implementations. You can keep a clear view of the bigger picture, even while getting down and dirty with the details. You are not afraid of employing new approaches, and you are openminded about changing your paradigms. You are able to see challenges instead of problems.
In your role as a software designer, across the board, you are able to comprehend and use and design the technical resources of the company to their maximum utility and design application solutions to benefit the company on a larger scale. Though we like you to employ a hands-on approach, you have a healthy notion and discipline to do the intrinsic documentation and administration of design work.
Cannibal Game Studios are ever-improving the qualities of their team and their individual employees. If you have big ambitions, we would love to hear from you.
Configuration Management
We are looking for a gifted student with a knack for software configuration management. You should not be afraid to design a system that tracks thousands of changes scattered across many frameworks and components and allows us to deliver them to the right products and the right customers. Dealing with many builds, versions, releases and deployment should be something that comes natural to you.
Backward Compatibility
When we release new versions of software to our customers we do not want their data, their precious artifacts, to get destroyed; forcing them to redo a lot of their hard work. We are looking for someone who knows the difference between syntactical and semantical incompatibility and who is ready to help us prevent both during the lifetime of our software products.
Model Driven Development
To allow our engineers to raise the bar of development even further, increase their speed and improve their accuracy, we are looking for someone who is into model driven development. Someone who is going to look into the different model driven engineering approaches and apply them to both speed up our development and reduce our maintenance effort.
